Denowatts is a plugin service to any monitoring company
There are two methods for delivering data from Denowatts to monitoring services or proprietary Enterprise Resource Platforms (ERPs):
- Modbus TCP/IP
- API
The Modbus Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) method allows a Modbus server in the local network to poll the Denowatts gateway registers. To use this method, set the Denowatts gateway to a static IP address and map the device registers as described in our Modbus Guide.
The Application Programing Interface (API) is a method that may be used either in parallel with, or in addition to the Modbus TCP/IP connection. Denowatts utilizes a RESTful API to allow subscribers to pull both raw sensor data and processed 15-minute data. API setup is described in our API Guide.
