Accredited laboratory’s have demonstrated to an independent Accreditation body technical proficiency and the ability to reliably produce precise and accurate calibrations. Key elements of the accreditation include:
- Traceability of measurements and calibrations to national standards
- Technical competence and proficiency of staff
- Maintenance and calibration of test equipment by other Accredited laboratories
- Quality assurance of calibration data
- Validity and appropriateness of test methods
